Christmas Show

Tickets will soon be available for the Turley Christmas Show. They are priced at £8.00 per adult and £5.00 per child Once again we will have Mary Ray and Levi her gorgeous dancing dog and Mark Chichester from Celtic Feet, plus the most important members of the cast - your children.

Bring along your friends, family, work colleagues etc for a fantastic night!

New Soft Shoes

We've managed to find some new soft shoes at a much cheaper price than the Hullachans. Marion and Roisin would like all the girls to get these shoes if possible please and to that end, we have negotiated a price of £21.00 + P&P which will be no more than £3.00 per pair.

We will have samples of all the sizes available hopefully on Tuesday for the girls to try on.

If you would like a pair, please let Ruth know so we can order them in plenty of time for the qualifiers.

Fantastic News

Ruadh and Summer won their first championships this weekend at the Deegan Feis. Sinead won her championship so it was a great feis for the Turley girls! I've just heard that Maisie came 3rd at the All Scotlands and Grace came 17th. Great weekend for some of our girls and we're very proud of you all xxx

Shoes!

We currently have a bag of second hand shoes. Depending on the condition, the soft shoes will be for sale from £15.00 per pair and the heavy shoes from £40.00 per pair. All monies will go to the Turley Academy Fund.

We are also sorting out spare wigs and tiaras.

Please see either Ruth or Jennie if you need any shoes.

To our one and only Ciara who is going to be dancing with Michael Flatley this year in Lord of the Dance - how fab is that?

Dates for your diaries

there will be no dance class on July 22nd as we are away at the British Nationals.

As of 1st week in August there will only be classes on the Tuesdays and Saturdays with no classes on the Thursdays until Thursday September 9th

We have been asked to dance at a show in Willenhall on 6th August, could you please let us know asap if you are able to attend?

Workshops

We will be running 2 workshops in the summer holidays.

The first workshop will run from 27th July - 30th July from 10 - 3.30 the cost of this workshop is £40.00 and is for open dancers only

the second workshop will run from 2nd August - 5th August from 10 -2 the cost of this workshop is £40.00 and is for primary and intermediate dancers to help them to improve their technique and to practice dances for the Christmas show.

If you would like to attend any of the workshops then please fill in a form at dance class and return it with you money asap.

11.45 - 12.15 age 7

12.15 - 12.45 ages 6 & 8 alternating

12.45 - 1.30 lunch

1.30 - 2.30 open group set dances

2.30 - 3.00 ages 5 and beginners ages 3-7

3.00 - 3.30 open dancers light round

3.30 - 4.00 ages 9 and 11 - 13

5.00 finish

We need help to run the refreshments on a rota basis please. It will be a great day so try and stay for the day if you can. We have a BBQ running.

Dance workshops in half term

Workshop days are £10.00 each day, £15.00 for 2 or £20.00 for 3. Please bring lunch, skipping rope and pillow for circuit training on Tuesday 1st June. Full details are available by clinking on the calendar

More Good News!

Last weekend Maisie came 1st and Lauren came 2nd at the St Ninians feis in Scotland. I have it on good authority that they were both "brilliant". Well done girls!

Parents in Class

Can we just give a polite reminder that NO parents are allowed in class. Can you please arrange to drop your child off, preferably with their light shoes on and then collect them at the appropriate time. You are more than welcome to wait in the bar area. Many thanks

To some very special Turley Girls (I know you're all special but this weekend has been extra special for some!)
Amy Cuthbertson came first in the U11 prelim! Caitlin Orzel came 1st in the U13 Prelim and Shannon Batt came 1st in her prelim too!!!!

Fantastic news for all the girls and well done to all the other Turley girls who competed too, can't wait to see the silverware on Tuesday!
